He was a electrical engineering professor at WPI and at Boston University, at BU he was also research dean of the College of Engineering. Peter is a Presidential (Bush, '41) Young Investigator, a Humboldt Fellow (TU Darmstadt), and a White House Fellow (Clinton); at the White House he later worked in the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
